An "XL" Tuesday

All things come in three. For many New Yorkers and New Jerseyians, this couldn't have been more true. After all, today is:
  • Superbowl Parade Tuesday for the victorious NY GIANTS

Source: Fox News.com

  • Super Tuesday - elections from coast to coast. Voters choose who will represent the Republican Party and Democratic Party in the forthcoming Presidential election. A race within parties (primaries) but a rather interesting one. I hope it'll be Clinton (D) vs. McCain (R). No offense to Obama. I think he is also a good candidate but the Democratic race is too close to call. Polls close 9 p.m. tonight. Just heard that Mrs. Clinton did 37 interviews today to reach out to voters. It's a nerve-wrecking "wait and see" now for all camps.
  • Fat Tuesday or rather, Mardi Gras - the last hurrah before Lent (yes, Ash Wednesday is tomorrow)
So, which one is more important? Well, it depends on what you fancy. This morning, the plasma TV at work was turned on for us to watch the Giants being glorified outside Lower Manhattan. Some of the guys from Web Comm rushed out in their Superbowl XLII Champions t-shirts at about 11 a.m. We could see the ticker tapes outside the window and the roar of the crowds from down below. Yet, some of us chose to avoid the crowds. I supposed I was very lucky to have the best spot - right next to the big screen. Hee...hee! I thought it was very nice of the bosses to let the boys go outside & cheer for their heroes. They looked so happy during lunch time :)
