Valentine's Day & Chinese New Year 2010

This year we have a double celebration on the same day - Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year.

Mixed roses from hubby, Adrian :)

My favorite Ty-monkey, George advertising more goodies from Adrian

Yummo!

Thank you Adrian :)

Valentine's Day flowers for Mom :)

Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner

Mom, Adrian & I sat down this evening to a simple yet delicious CNY's eve dinner. This is the first time Mom is away from home (=Kuching) but we are just delighted and happy to have her here with us in New Jersey. My poor Daddy had to cook his own reunion dinner (really, I'm not kidding) with my brother and grandparents :(

Mom's cooking...

Spicy sweet and sour crabs (I haven't eaten this in years!!!)

Mixed vegetable

Mom & myself

Mom & Adrian - note the grin on Adrian's face (hint: his favorite dish in right in front of him)

"Gong Xi Fa Cai"
May the Year of the Tiger bring everyone happiness, peace & prosperity!

Brandon at six weeks

Do I look like Mommy, Daddy or uniquely me?

Daddy - happy, Brandon - screaming his lungs out...

Snow Storm 2010

We dodged the first one but couldn't escape the second blast. A classic Nor'Easter battered our area three days ago. Public schools, offices and businesses were closed due to blizzard like conditions. Below are a few pictures surrounding our house during the 12 inch snow fall.

Tree outside our front window

Neighbor's house from our kitchen window

Our motion sensor lights covered in snow & icicles hanging on the roof gutter

Highlights: Kids didn't have to go to school for 2 days :) Sledding time!
Lowlights: Groundhog predicted another 6 weeks of winter :(

One Month Old

We cannot believe how time really flies. Brandon is one month old today. It was like yesterday that he was born into the world. His appetite has increased and is doing exceptionally well after a bout of RSV which kept us sleepless and worried for many nights. After spending the night in the hospital, he was discharged with no medication. Since he is so small, he couldn't respond to any antibiotics or the nebulizer. Poor Brandon was kept in an oxygen tent to monitor his oxygen level. Everything was within range. Thank goodness!

What's up people?!

Serious pose....! Don't play play (Singlish joke)

Brandon - Ten days old

This has been our new routine. Changing diapers, feeding, and entertaining boss Brandon. The three of us (mom, dad and grandma) have been transformed into either panda bears or raccoons. Thanks to BOSS Brandon's wee hours demand.

New tools in the kitchen

Burrito wrap/swaddle (I am warm and comfy)

Dr. Evil's Impersonation - note the pinky :)

Smile for Daddy
