Chit-chat first:
It's Friday night and the Labor Day long weekend begins! It is also the last holiday for the summer. How time flies. The next big holiday is Thanksgiving. No more public holidays for the next 2.5 months. Bleak! Hurricane Ernesto update: Rain, rain, rain....Holiday weekend's ruined :( Bleaker!! *sigh*

Summertime Carnival

Summer time and carnivals are synonymous. New Milford had a small carnival last weekend so why not blog about something fun and outdoorsy to help us get through the gloomy days.

What's a carnival without a ferris wheel? So here's the wheel...we were too early. The kids were still MIA.

And games...

Crazy balls - aim for the colored cups to win something

Crazy cans - looks easy but wait, there's a secret to lining them up so that you won't knock them down so easily. The lady was trying hard not to appear in our photo. Gotcha..hahaha!

Hoop shots and fat cat game attracting the kids

Prizes to lure the kids and the "not-so-small kids"...

More prizes of the slithery kind. Lizards, geckos, etc.

There were kiddie rides but not challenging enough; unlike the "X-scream" or "Insanity" rides" in Vegas or Six Flags. Sorry, no offense kids.

Typical carnival food - lemonade and zeppoli (small balls of fried dough with powder sugar or Italian doughnut). Gave that a pass.

Candied apple - nice but I didn't buy any. They reminded me of Snow White's poison apple ;)
