Not a full movie review, just a few paragraphs of MTCW on it.
Curiosity won over us. We checked out - "Borat! Cultural Learnings..." on DVD last Tuesday.
Sacha Baron Cohen a.k.a. Borat, Ali G & Bruno is ingenious.
As Borat, his risky and risque take on taboo subjects and sensitive issues executed with slapstick humor is definitely worth watching. So infectious that Adrian & I are still reeling in bouts of laughing gas days later. Some may find it offensive, repulsive, anti-semitic, discriminatory [to women] but if you watch it with an open-mind; then I guarantee you will be highly entertained.
I think Borat is pop-culture's newest icon and that "Boratism" will find its way into our dictionaries in the near future. His mumble jumbled Eastern European/Hebrew vocabulary is hard to ignore and fits his character like a glove. It's really made for him.
Kudos to those who worked on the promotion of this so called "movie film", as Borat would say. They took their "comedi-ness" (if there's even such a word) seriously down to a tea or rather down to the disc, in this case. Check out the spoof.

Understanding Borat's "cheapness" and background, he would indeed be capable of doing this. "DEMOREZ" sounds familiar??? Yeah, I have a few of those in my DVD case. Maybe more like Memorex. Gotta love the hand-written font/title on the disc.

My favorite DVD extras. A Baywatch parody ala Borat style courtesy of MrKraka (You Tube):
To steal his line, "Chenquieh".

I thought Borat was a scream, but I prefer Ali G (the TV series, not the movie).
