Love & Wawa
Here's some photos from our recent trip to Philadelphia over the weekend. Adrian & I have been there a couple of times. Philly: The City of Brotherly Love! Each time we pass-by City Hall, the Rocky theme song plays in our heads. I think we have Rocky overload. Doesn't help when your spouse's name is also Adrian. Yo, Adrian! Hmm...
Liberty Bell
Carpenter's Hall
Pennsylvania State House @ Independence Hall
Christ Church (The Nation's Church) & the pew where George & Martha Washington sat! Other Revolutionary worshipers: Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross (mother-seamstress to the American Flag), Morris, Penn, etc.
Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley & the Bladen Court Pump
Penn's Landing / Camden Waterfront
Tutankhamun & the Golden Age of Pharaoh's Exhibit at Franklin Institute
Tut is on the move again after 30 years. The Mummy Returns! Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit here. But, what an opportunity to experience a boy-Pharaoh's life from 1333 B.C.
Thoroughly enjoyed the incredible journey through Tut's world. Looking at his personal items and royal fineries as well as those of the Pharaohs of ages past was really surreal. My only disappointment: Where's King Tut's funeral mask? Next goal: the real pyramids & sphinx in Egypt!
If I were Egyptian royalty, this would have been my hieroglyphic nameplate/seal.
